News from the Shooting Range
On Dec 18th, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Troop 4 with supervision from 3 range officers (Lee, Greg, and Paul), enjoyed trap and 22 shooting at our club. It was sunny, no wind, but only 25-30 degrees - and the woodstove in the glassed-in observation hut near the trap range was greatly appreciated. The 12 scouts ranged from 13 to 16 years of age, and each did 2 full rounds (50 shots total) of trap. The scouts also feasted on hot chocolate, hot dogs, and hamburgers - and they look forward to returning in the spring!
Ice Fishing Derby
On January 29th, our V.P. Mike (a.k.a. Bear) provided a healthy breakfast for more than 70 ice fisherman for the Lake Whitehall Ice Fishing Derby! With Judge Leroy and his accurate scale and ruler, there were no debates on whose fish were the largest. Many thanks to Barry's Bait shop for selling shiners at our club and for donating 5 tilts for a raffle prize!
The winners were:
- Bass 1st Place: Jeff Damico, 4.92 lbs., 20 3/8", $310.00
- Bass 2nd Place: John Doherty, Sr., 1.88 lbs., 16", $155.00
- Bass 3rd Place: Dan Stewart, 1.39 lbs., 14 1/2", $80.00

Note: All fish were returned alive. More pictures and winners in the Woodville Rod and Gun Gallery! (See link on left)

Many thanks to all who helped to make such a great day!
Reminder:
We would also like to remind all members when bringing a guest to our club that they need to be signed in. And when you leave your guest must either leave with you or have another member sign them in again. These are the ABCC rules.
Cookbooks:
We are still collecting recipes for our cookbook. We would appreciate any and all donations. Thank you to those of you that have taken the time to drop off recipes. We know many have said you have some, so we would love to get them into the book. The sooner we get enough recipes, the sooner the book can be published. Any proceeds will go to benefit the club. Recipes for regular types of food are also being accepted along with appetizers and desserts. We are also looking for kids recipes. So let's hear from all you ice fishing and hunting camp cooks. We are also looking for suggestions for a title. Please feel free to let Dennis Smith know any ideas.
