Wide-Screen TV Winner:

Congratulations to Carl Garner on winning this year's wide-screen TV on Superbowl Sunday! "Thank You" to all that contributed to our Superbowl Party. Yet another fun time at the club.

Game Feed Dinner

Many thanks to the "Gamefeed Culinary Crew" for providing such a wonderful meal for 185 hungry diners. With over 1000 lbs of appetizers and entrees (of which over 400 lbs were venison), this crew provided a feast that lasted almost 4 hours. The crew appeared to be having fun too - and you had to be there to see some of the funniest pranks ever using flour!

Here's the meal - all for $30.00:

Appetizers

  • Smoked Wild Board Sausage
  • Chicken Liver Pate Roll-ups
  • Pheasant & Spinach Alfredo Pizza
  • Pheasant Hot Legs
  • Venison Bacon Wraps
Entrees
  • Canada Goose Bean Soup
  • Hearty Bear Stew
  • Rabbit Hausenpfeffer
  • Venison Tips Teriyaki
  • Venison Cordon Bleu
  • Duck Legs Blue Cheese
  • Elk Wellington
  • Ostrich Salisbury Steak
  • Pheasant Broccoli & Cauliflower
  • Venison Rague
  • Buffalo London Broil
  • Mountain Man Sausage, Onion & Mushrooms
  • Desserts

Cookbooks:

We are still collecting recipes for our cookbook. We would appreciate any and all donations. Thank you to those of you that have taken the time to drop off recipes. We know many have said you have some, so we would love to get them into the book. The sooner we get enough recipes, the sooner the book can be published. Any proceeds will go to benefit the club. Recipes for regular types of food are also being accepted along with appetizers and desserts. We are also looking for kids recipes. So let's hear from all you ice fishing and hunting camp cooks. We are also looking for suggestions for a title. Please feel free to let Dennis Smith know any ideas.

Lj's Tip

Some sportsmen monitor deer populations, changes in habitat for them, and their preferred trails all year long.
