Game Feed 2009

What an incredible day. Karl Dakai and Ed Grant would like to extend to everyone who assisted them all week a heartfelt "Thank You" and they would like you to know that "they couldn't have done it without you". On behalf of the club, we'd like to say to Karl Dakai and Ed Grant we could not have done it without you guys. Thank you very much. Thank you to the folks that donated any type of game to the event. Without your donations, we wouldn't have the spread that came out of the kitchen. No one walked away hungry, and I think I saw many "doggy" bags leaving as well. From the pheasant cordon blue, to the barbecued rabbit, stuffed mushrooms and homemade sausage, venison marsala and bear/venison kabobs, and of course the frogs legs; the cooks out did themselves again. And this is just a sampling of what was served.

Chicken Shoot 3/7

We had a full house Sunday for our chicken shoot. What a fun time we had, Thank You Kim Clark, Sue Bush, Jennifer Harlow, Karen Remillard and Frenchie for making the shoot a success. Lots of us went home with dinner all cooked. (Some were much luckier than others!) FYI to all, feel free to volunteer to help sell cards or raffle tickets anytime. The sooner everyone can get their cards, the sooner the shoot can start. We will never turn away a volunteer.

Trout Derby Raffle Tickets

The raffle tickets have been mailed to you. We included in the envelope a reminder of upcoming events for March and April. We also have asked that anyone who is a GOAL member to please let us know. We understand that some folks are receiving two copies of The Outdoor Message. We will get this updated for you. Also the club does not have to pay for the subscription if you are a GOAL member. Please either mail us the information or send an email to remillard_karen@emc.com

Upcoming Events:

April 10th - Comedy night Tickets are on sale at the clubhouse for $15.00 per person and this comes with a meal. Meal will be served at 6:00pm and the comedians will start by 8:00pm. May 1st - Margarittaville Night Come down and join us for an evening of dancing and fun. DJ Carl Adams will be playing Jimmy Buffet songs. There will be karaoke, munchies, specialty drinks of Margaritas and Pina Coladas. It is time to celebrate SPRING. Put on your grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts, flip flops and silly hats. These are not required, but do make it fun. Hope to see you there!

May 15th - Kids Derby This event is the most fun of them all. Just watching the children's reactions when they catch their first fish, frog, turtle or what ever comes out of Pratt Pond. Bring the children, grandchildren or your neighbors children. Everyone is welcome. Many hands pitch in for this event, so volunteers are welcome. More details will follow closer to the date.
