New Business
  • We are having a Seafood Bake on August 9th. You can view the menu at our website. Tickets will be on sale at the club. This is a fun time for everyone. There will be activities for the children and adults. You don’t want to miss this one... Prices are listed above under our calendar of events.

  • And the following month will be our Annual Chicken BBQ. Last year it was sold out. If you missed this last year, then plan on buying your tickets early. It will probably be another sold out barbeque!! There are activities for all ages. Raffles and best of all, Frank’s Chicken’s!!

  • Summer Street Band will be at the club on Saturday July 11th. Details are just being worked out so if you’re interested please contact the club.

  • The raffle for the Ugly Stick Surfcasting rod with reel was so successful; we are going to have another raffle! We’ll be raffling off a 10’ Ugly Stick with a Penn Live liner. Check with our bartenders for tickets.

  • Horseshoes has started up again on Thursday nights. Some of us are good, some us lucky, and some of us pay the $4.00 weekly rate knowing that even if we do poorly, we still get the same meal of prime rib and lobster at the Horseshoe banquet! Thanks to Priscilla, Lisa, Dean and Chris for running this so smoothly.

  • Our annual Kid’s Trout Fishing Derby is being held Saturday June 7th. Any child up to and including age 14 is invited to participate in the fishing derby. It’s generally the first Saturday in June. So if you’ve missed it this year, plan on it for next year. Lots of prizes and a good time catching trout. Look for a full report next month.

  • Work has started on the archery stands. These stands are elevated to simulate the actual hunting environment, and provide a variety of targets for archery practice. Look for more information next month.

  • Benny Tomlin is retiring this month and will be moving south. We’d like to wish him and his family the best in their new adventure. And we’d like to thank Benny for all his years of dedication and support to the club. We’ll miss you!! Please keep in touch.

  • Lj's Sporting Tips June/July:
    • The Lyme Tick Vaccine is beneficial to people and dogs.

    • An unsinkable source for information about Stripers and Blues is Molly Benjamin at www.CapeCodTimes.com. Her column appears Thursdays in the Outside section of the Cape Cod Times. She has a great no-nonsense writing style for providing fishing news on the cape and the islands.

  • To all the hunters, fishing men and women out there. Care to share any hunting or fishing stories? We’d be happy to listen and publish your story in the Message and put it on the web page. Come to the member meetings and share your stories!! Congrats to all of you who hit your mark during the hunting season!!

  • Don’t forget Trap shooting on Sunday afternoons. We start around 1:30. Even with this spell of cold weather, we have had quite a few participants. Come on down and join in the fun.

  • Ongoing, we can order jackets, either spring or winter. If you are interested in looking at these items please keep in contact with the club (508-435-4148).
