Horseshoes According to Priscilla, the horseshoe league has 35 people signed up and about 25 show up each Thursday at 6 p.m. On June 28, the league had a surprise birthday party for Ned, with hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad and Ned's favorite -kielbasa sticks! At the end of the meal, Ned blew out the fork on the cake. Happy 50th birthday Ned! Seafood Bake

Members Meeting News With over 35 in attendance, a members meeting was held on June 19th that lasted less than 20 minutes! Thank you Mike for efficient time management! For the Good of the Club Frenchie, Kim, Boo, Rick, Edie, Laurie & Dave all volunteered their time to cater a meal for 30 Fire Chiefs of New England on June 25th. The highlight of the meal was Frenchie's special seasonings! It's a Girl! Congratulations to Thomas Remillard and family with the arrival of Lindsey Allison, born on June 20th The baby weighed in at 6 lbs, 2 ounces, and was 19 and ¼ inches in length. He's Back! Osama, our favorite target, has returned (to our relief)! Members Tip Take your kids fishing and you won't have to hunt for them later in life! Trustees On Tuesday night July 3rd, Fran Sowa was voted in as a Trustee. We would like to thank Ricki Marchesi for the fine job he did while holding this post. Best wished to Fran as he takes over. General Information: If you have turned 65 and have 5 years of membership you are entitled to a life membership. Please contact the club if this applies to you. Friendly reminder - We are always looking for help at the club events and functions. If you need to complete your 3 new member details, this is a way to do that. Scholarship
The Woodville Rod & Gun Club of Hopkinton is offering a $500.00 scholarship to a student in the area who shows an interest in environmental education and is pursuing a degree in wildlife, habitat, fisheries or forestry management, environmental, wildlife or marine biology at an accredited college. Other notes... When you are sponsoring someone for membership, please have the application fee handed in with the application form. The membership committee will review applications at their next scheduled meeting. The Membership committee will then schedule an appointment for the interview. If you have any questions, please contact someone on the Membership committee. The committee meets on the second Thursday of the month from 7:30pm to 8:15pm. New members, if you need to complete your 3 work details, we still have some functions coming up that would help fulfill this obligation. Remember, anytime we have a function at the hall, there is a job to be done. Ongoing, we can order jackets, shirts, etc. If you are interested in looking at these items please contact the club (508-435-4148). We have orange and green hats on hand, now embroidered ($8), and the newest item is a camouflaged version ($12), two styles. Please contact Cherryl if you would like to purchase a club jacket or other article of clothing. The bartenders can help with the hats, as they are usually in stock at the club. Hall Rentals:
A deposit and contract are required to hold a date. Deposits are refunded at the end of the function once the hall has been cleaned. Children’s party rentals can be on Wednesday's or Thursday's only.
