General Information

Dues are Due

It's that time of year again folks and dues need to be paid by 12/31/04 in order to avoid any surcharges. Anyone who pays their dues on or before the Adult Christmas Party (12/11) will be eligible for the drawing for free dues the following year.

Cookbooks:

The process has begun for putting together our own cookbook. We have started receiving recipes, but we need more in order to have a decent compilation. We know a lot of you cook and have some great recipes; please share these with us. Right now we only have about 60 recipes. So we are still looking for more recipes. We are hoping to have the book ready for distribution by Thanksgiving. But if not, then hopefully they will be available for Christmas.

Recipes for regular types of food are also being accepted along with appetizers and desserts. We are also looking for kids recipes. So let's hear from all you ice fishing and hunting camp cooks. We are als

Calendars:

We are also looking into making a 'Woodville' calendar. This calendar will have all our events listed along with meeting dates and times. Any photo donations for the calendar would be greatly appreciated. We will be sure to get the photo back to you.

Chicken Barbeque

With blue skies, and temperatures in the 80's, September 12th was a perfect day for our Chicken Barbeque. Many thanks to Frenchie and his cooking crew for providing corn chowder, followed by a half chicken that was slowly roasted over a wood fire, with pickled beets, corn on the cob, and salad. The meal was fantastic!

A large number of the town's senior citizens joined us for the day, all of which greatly enjoyed the socializing. One common complaint was there was too much food!

Many other events were fun for the over 300 people that attended. These events included:

  • Trap shooting
  • Children's archery
  • 410 shooting
  • 22 shooting
  • Black powder shooting (splitting a lead shot on a double-headed axe and striking two clay pigeons).
  • Adult archery
  • Casting pool challenge
  • Horseshoes
  • Live entertainment, comedy and music from John Villa and his amazing sound system.
