Adult Halloween Party

The adult Halloween party was held on Saturday, October 27th. Where else can you have a great time for only $10/person? The hall was decorated with eerie tombstones, a hairy (very large mind you) spider, and all kinds of bats and witches flying across the moon. For all those who stayed home for the game, you really missed a wonderful evening. We danced the night away with music by Michelle Gates, and ate all kinds of ghoulish delights.

Kid's Halloween Party

As always, the kid's Halloween party is held on October 31st in the main hall of the club from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There were all kinds of activities for the kids, from bobbing for apples, to bean bag tosses, creepy feely things, to eating donuts contests. We had a variety of witches, ghost, wizards and skeletons to dainty little princesses. Everyone had a fun evening.

Dues are due

It's that time of year again. Please remember that the dues are $80.00. If you pay your dues before the Adult Christmas Party (12/8/07) we will put your name into a drawing for free 2009 dues. Otherwise, dues are due by 12/31/2007. After that, dues will be increased by $10.00 ($90.00) until 1/31/2008.

If you have a hardship paying your dues this year, please contact someone from the membership committee. We'd rather work it out with you than loose a valuable member.

Do you have an email address? Would you like to be notified via email about upcoming events? Please include your email address when you pay your dues this year. Or send an email to remillard_karen@emc.com and we'll add you to the database.

Pig Roast 2007:

With close to a 100 tickets sold for this annual event, Frank Wylie and his crew served up a harvest soup, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, Italian Potatoes. And a huge pig was cooked on a spit in the outdoor fire pit area. Many thanks to Frank Wylie and his entire crew, to Lee Wright for DJ'ing, and to all of the food servers and the clean-up crew. Everyone did an awesome job.

Bird Hunting

The pheasants were stocked on the first three Saturday's of hunting season. It was great to see friends hunting with friends, and families hunting together. Thanks to those that transported the birds and stocked them at the early hours on Saturday mornings.

November -

Looking forward to our annual Thanksgiving dinner at the club! We will report on this in the next publication.

Welcome New Members:

New members and anyone interested in helping out the club: Anytime we have a function at the club, there is a job to be done. Come on down and mingle with fellow club members. This is a great way to meet some of the newer folk and learn from the more experienced.

If you have turned 65 and have 5 years of membership you are entitled to a life membership. Please contact the club if this applies to you.

Friendly reminder - We are always looking for help at the club events and functions. If you need to complete your 3 new member details, this is a way to do that. You see the club events published in this article. Mark them on your calendars as a reminder, check with your sponsor to see if anything is coming up or stop by the club and see what's happening. An extra pair of hands always makes the chore easier, and more fun!
