Inter-club Trap Shoot: We would like to apologize for omitting the Kids 22 shoot in our last month's edition of the Message. Unfortunately we only know of one name so far. Colin Nanatovich took 3rd place in this event. Congratulations to Colin and to all the winners. If anyone knows the names of 1st and 2nd place winners please contact the club with the information. We'll be sure to get their names in the next edition.
![]() We hosted the Maspenock club on Sunday, November 6th. It was a foggy afternoon. They showed with 16 shooters while we had 10. The club team chipped in and tabled a great pasta dinner with venison sausage and hamburg in the sauce. Ribs and cheese and crackers were offered in the trap house. Best as we tried, we were bested by Maspenock's team, 236 to 229, for a two-day total of 439 to 420 (this is out of a possible 500). Franny Sowa was the top gun from Woodville with a 23 and 25 score, and Don Laliberty was Maspenock's top gun with an identical score. Franny went on to shoot another round (which didn't count for this competition) scoring another 25 for a 50 straight run! Congratulations Franny. The team had a great time and we feel this should make this an annual event. Halloween Parties The club hosted an Adult and Children's Halloween Party this again this year. Rumor has it that about 10 adults attended in costume, and a good time was had by all. Thank you to the folks that stepped up to the plate to make it a success. I for one, am sorry I missed it! We also had the children's party on Halloween night. The night started out slowly, but before you know it, the hall was swarmed with children. We had the children bobbing for apples, eating donuts, pitching pennies, guessing parts of monsters and tossing bean bags. Thank you to our volunteers for decorating, setting up the games, and volunteering their time and materials to this annual event. General Information: If you have turned 65 and have 5 years of membership you are entitled to a life membership. Please contact the club if this applies to you. Friendly reminder - We are always looking for help at the club events and functions. If you need to complete your 3 new member details, this is a way to do that. You see the club events published in this article. Mark them on your calendars as a reminder, check with your sponsor to see if anything is coming up or stop by the club and see what's happening. An extra pair of hands always makes the chore easier, and more fun! Remember...

New pictures have been added to our website, check them out at: www.woodvillerodandgun.com and click on the "Gallery". If you would like to post anything to the website please send it to webmaster@woodvillerodandgun.com. If you have any questions, contact one of the members on the website committee Dennis Wadsworth "Webmaster", Lee Wright, Karen Remillard, Jeff Gemski and Cherryl Barrett (chairperson). In October we have the stocking of the birds for pheasant hunting. Good luck to all that participate and hopefully we may get a story or two to share with others. Folks are already talking about sightings of deer and wild turkeys in the area. Thank you to all the folks that have been lending a hand in making some much needed repairs around the club. In some cases they may seem like no big deal, but some minor adjustments make a world of difference to those of us that face them each time we are there. Thank you again for your time and energy. (I for one, having griped about certain things for the past couple of years, greatly appreciate it)!!
